The Swedish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry
The Swedish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry (LIF) is a trade association representing the Swedish research-based pharmaceutical industry.
LIF´s members annually invest 8 billion SEK in R&D in Sweden. Swedish pharmaceutical export exceeded 52 billion SEK in 2003. During the same period pharmaceutical imports amounted to 19 billion SEK, thereby creating a surplus of over 33 billion SEK.
LIF is also a service organisation for the members and continuously informs them of developments in fields which can influence the work conditions for their operations in Sweden.
A part of LIF is IML, an association for innovative small and medium-sized Swedish companies in drug research and advanced medical devices.
