), a collaboration between Chalmers University of Technology and Göteborg University, trains and coaches bio-entrepreneurs by offering an interdisciplinary master´s level programme in bioscience business creation, with hands-on experience of business development through real-life innovation projects.This action-based programme, which is unique in Europe, integrates practical experience and theoretical expertise in bioscience entrepreneurship and innovation management with in-depth understanding of product development processes in the bioscience industry.
GIBBS´ international faculty, as well as the school´s close connection with experienced entrepreneurs and the bioscience innovation system in the region, provide a valuable network of support and counseling for its students.
Strategic decisions in the bioscience industries require both scientific competence and the ability to manage a highly complex, regulated and publicly sensitive commercial environment. Bioscience enterprises need individuals with both business and entrepreneurial skills as well as advanced scientific, technical and medical understanding.
