Major interest in BIO-X
BIO-X was recently announced in the Västra Götaland region; a process which will open up completely new paths for researchers in Western Sweden.
"We are very pleased with the considerable interest shown in BIO-X, and we have received 14 applications in the fields of cardiovascular and metabolic disease. It will be exciting to make a contribution towards the development and utilisation of research with academia, industry and healthcare all working in close cooperation," says Björn Ericsson.
BIO-X work is now continuing, with Advisory Board evaluations taking place over two stages. A restricted selection of research projects are receiving more in-depth project review and assistance with matchmaking. Selected projects in the final stages will receive support for up to two years and will be presented before the end of the year.
BIO-X is a structured process for open innovation and is facilitated by close cooperation with Uppsala BIO, which developed the process.
