Lumina Adhesives in international innovation drive
The Göteborg-based company has been chosen as one of Sweden´s twenty fastest-growing companies to participate in a world tour starting off in Silicon Valley in autumn 2011.
Sweden is among the world elite when it comes to innovation. Starting in autumn 2011, the Swedish Institute (SI) external link, opens in new windowis implementing an international innovation project as part of a programme to boost public awareness of the country´s leading position.

Following a thorough selection process, twenty of Sweden´s most interesting innovations in fields such as life science have been chosen from among the country´s young growth companies. An exhibition will be created that will go on tour throughout the world in close cooperation with the relevant Swedish embassies and local partners. A comprehensive programme individually tailored for each respective city and country will also be linked to the exhibition.

Lumina Adhesives is commercializing a new and unique technology platform for switchable adhesives. These adhesives are very strong in their normal state but lose their adhesion when exposed to visible light. This light-switchable adhesive technology has been developed to meet the need for strong adhesion to fragile surfaces, including skin.
