The jury says:
“This year´s winner Carmel Pharma develops and sells a closed-system drug transfer device PhaSeal for the safe handling of hazardous drugs. Customers consist primarily of hospital pharmacies and cancer clinics. The company was founded in 1994 but the sales received strong impetus when the management changed in 2005. It invested in a local presence strategy and repeated research studies to enhance sales. This has led to an impressively fast and highly profitable international expansion, and the company is currently active in nearly 40 countries."
