10 best business ideas in Western Sweden selected
Of 422 business ideas submitted to Venture Cup West, the best ideas have now been nominated.
- What is most impressive is the incredible breadth and related skills we have here in western Sweden. The winning business ideas range from development of herpes vaccine to solutions for the mining industry to analyze the rock in a better way, as well as new Internet services to improve personal finance, says Niklas Delersjö, Regional Manager of Venture Cup West, in a press release.

One of the winning entries is a vaccine against herpes, which can be a world novelty. It is a team of researchers at the Sahlgrenska Academy that has developed the vaccine candidate based on a new biological principle and that is unique in relation to vaccine candidates used in previous experiments. Behind the business idea is a team from GIBBS, Göteborg International Bioscience Business School, responsible for business development of the project.
