New ownership structure for Sahlgrenska Science Park

Chalmers University of Technology becomes part-owner of Sahlgrenska Science Park
Chalmers University of Technology makes its entry as a new member and owner of Sahlgrenska Biomedical Innovation Centre, SBIC, which in turn owns Sahlgrenska Science Park. The previous owners of SBIC are Region Västra Götaland, Business Region Göteborg and University of Gothenburg. Chalmers will be represented on the board of owners by Professor Stefan Bengtsson.
Vice-Chancellor Johan Carlsten will represent Chalmers on the board of Sahlgrenska Science Park. Since 2000 he has served as Pro-Vice-Chancellor responsible for contacts and in-service training with the business world. Johan Carlsten is a graduate engineer in chemical technology and is also a veterinary. He has worked for many years at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, SLU, most recently as Pro-Chancellor.
