New leadership at School of Public Health
Anders Foldspang, new Dean & Director of the Nordic School of Public health in Göteborg, starting on February 1, 2010.
Anders Foldspang succeeds Göran Bondjers as Dean & Director of the Nordic School of Public Health in Göteborg. Among his previous positions, he has served as President of the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European region, ASPHER.
Since 1997, Anders Foldspang has served as Professor of Public Health at Århus University. He has worked as a university lecturer and conducted research into health sciences for thirty years. In the course of his career, he has led a large number of Public Health Science educational programmes and courses and has also held many positions of trust and conducted many expert missions in the Nordic region. Anders Foldspang has also been active in the Nordic Federation for Medical Education and is a board member of the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European region, ASPHER. Between 2007 and 2008 he served as president of this organisation. He takes up his new post on February 1, 2010, when the current incumbent, Göran Bondjers, retires.
