Hans-Olov Olsson new chairman of the Chalmers University board
On January 1, 2010, Hans-Olov Olsson will take up his new position as chairman of the board of Chalmers. Hans-Olov Olsson succeeds Sven Eckerstein.
"With Hans-Olov Olsson, Chalmers gets an internationally experienced leader as board chairman. His immense know-how about the automotive industry and his interest in competence and development issues will be a major asset for us," says Kurt Eliasson, chairman of the Chalmers Foundation, which appoints the company´s board.

As the new chairman, Hans-Olov Olsson will have the opportunity to shape developments at a time when Chalmers has received major funding through the Swedish government´s supplementary grant allocation for strategic research.
