“We will work to ensure good conditions in research, for an ethical approach to the market, for a health-care system that rewards innovation and quality and which evaluates all pharmaceuticals on the basis of what is best for the patient," says Rickard Bergström, President of LIF, which brings together 60 member companies.
The two organisations have worked together before, but now they will engage in more formal cooperation. The 15 member companies in IML will now become associated members of LIF. “Our cooperation is now being formalised and extended. Becoming associate members is a good solution for innovative small pharmaceutical companies. This move gives our member companies access to LIF´s extensive information and contact network," says Jan G Smith, President of IML.
