Peter Lönnroth new chairman of the Scientific Council for Medicine and Health
Professor Peter Lönnroth
The board of the Swedish Research Council has appointed Peter Lönnroth as new chairman of the Scientific Council for Medicine and Health.
Peter Lönnroth is Adjunct Professor at the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg and his main area is endocrinology, where he specialises in diabetes and metabolism with particular focus on insulin resistance in muscle and fatty tissue.

Peter Lönnroth also serves as Deputy Director of Healthcare Services in Region Västra Götaland.
Peter Lönnroth will serve as chairman of the Scientific Council for Medicine and Health until December 2012.
