India's growing middle class and changing disease patterns, its presence of large private hospitals and a growing share of "medical tourists" drive demand for high-end medical equipment and medicines.

  • Indian government is expected to increase demand further, through its plans to expand health care network in the country.

During this seminar Swedish Trade Council and Invest Sweden will present business opportunities for Swedish companies in medical technology in India. They will also present the opportunity to join a medical delegation to India Nov 29 to Dec 1, 2010 (New Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai). The delegation will visit purchasing and investment managers in Indian hospitals and other organizations.
