Interesting times where the interest on how to handle knowledge and innovation has deepened and is asked for from several places. Regionally, the future Life Science strategy is discussed, deeper cooperation between Health Care organizations and Universities is demanded. There is also an expressed wish for having more innovations reaching the end users, thereby affecting the growth and sustainability in what we do. All these things will need managers willing to take part in the development.
And in the midst of that is a School in bioscience entrepreneurship, GIBBS, real action based and delivering managers and entrepreneurs in field. So there is a fantastic future for the students who dare and have the urge to do something different.
The last week has been even more interesting, being part of starting two EU project with the emphasis to increase the potentials for new innovations. The really interesting part is that the model they would like to adopt in Europe is the one that we follow. Furthermore, the ability to create innovations from health care is a common interest of these groups, certainly a very challenging task. But we have, with GIBBS and working on the knowledge platform, most likely a model for the solution.
Tuesday I visited a meeting involving Innovation Norway, the Swedish Tillväxtverket and Nordic Innovation Centre,.where innovation handling and support was on the agenda. Again, the knowledge that we create is part of the export. The practical approach works! Also elsewhere! It is even sought for!
